Editorial: Aesthetic Punctuation.

These images don’t explain themselves, and the copy alongside them won’t either.

What they share is a particular patience: the willingness to frame something exactly as it is and wait. A motor hotel sign blazing tropical warmth into a blizzard. Spent casings covering the ground the way pebbles do, until the eye adjusts. The confidence of human intention meeting the indifference of the world that receives it. The discomfort, when it arrives, arrives quietly and on the viewer’s own terms.

Ben’s editorial work doesn’t chase the obvious image. It waits for the one that was already there, holding still, visible only from a specific angle at a specific moment. It stands at the edge and points.

That kind of seeing tends to find its way into everything else he shoots. Ben would love to know what you’re working on.
