Trying to do a little dark-field photography of some of my favorite liquors. Rule number one? GET RID OF DUST. I was amazed how much dust shows up in this style of studio lighting.

Beginner’s Wheat

Oregon’s Highway 97 is one of the more banal, yet beautiful routes to adventure on if you give it your attention and some extra time. A slow, meandering highway through Eastern Oregon, there are so many beautiful moments like this early wheat crop. It’s what inspired the original Windows XP desktop.

Got a chance to see all of Portland’s top Internet marketing geniuses gathered together in their annual networking social. Water-balloon fights, wonderful conversation, some awesome drinks provided by @thegrowlerguys, and a charity that deserves attention: Harper’s Playground, because inclusion rocks.

Ancient Nerd

Looking: Flat Rock Butte, 5000 ft

Flat Rock Butte is in the Umatilla Nat’l Forest. We did not pack for those high-altitude temps, unfortunately. Freezing bloody cold for June 22nd, and it really only furthers my respect for this amazing area.That’s the glow from the campfire near the top of the frame.
