Three MCs

Maybe it’s just the air around here but these ghosts remind you of some early Beastie Boys moment, frozen in time.

They seem to want you to turn around and… oh look, maybe they’re pointing to that other ghost!

Weird, how did you not see that before? And the ghost these three are pointing towards seems to have… a bicycle?

Did it just get here or something?

Beginner’s Wheat

Oregon’s Highway 97 is one of the more banal, yet beautiful routes to adventure on if you give it your attention and some extra time. A slow, meandering highway through Eastern Oregon, there are so many beautiful moments like this early wheat crop. It’s what inspired the original Windows XP desktop.

Weed Cat

My cat Pok Pok got sick and decided the best medicine would be to nap all day in a nearby weedy spot. Wait, cats do that sort of thing all the time. Enjoy the full-size for oil paint detail.

SEMpdx Rooftop Party

Got a chance to see all of Portland’s top Internet marketing geniuses gathered together in their annual networking social. Water-balloon fights, wonderful conversation, some awesome drinks provided by @thegrowlerguys, and a charity that deserves attention: Harper’s Playground, because inclusion rocks.

Ancient Nerd

This is a close-up shot of the long-gone Mississippi Street Nerd. I can’t remember who threw these iconographic nerds all over the places, but I snapped this image as the wood underneath started splitting from the summer heat. Ah, texture…

Cara Mia

Hey it’s throwback WEEK over here while I continue to sift through some great old images. This is an older shot of model Cara Mia, shot near the Mississippi neighborhood (Portland, OR) back in 2010. She’s got a bit more ink these days and is still doing tons of great modeling, I understand. Once I get a grip on this workflow of mine, I look forward to doing more casual, fun work like this shoot.

Looking: Flat Rock Butte, 5000 ft

Flat Rock Butte is in the Umatilla Nat’l Forest. We did not pack for those high-altitude temps, unfortunately. Freezing bloody cold for June 22nd, and it really only furthers my respect for this amazing area.That’s the glow from the campfire near the top of the frame.
